Founded in 2010, the Seattle Elite League is entering its 14th season in the Pacific NW in 2024!

The inaugural season was the summer of 2011 with a 12-team 16U league. In 2012, the SEL expanded to four leagues of 12 teams each, spanning the ages of 14-18. 2013 saw more expansion, with a 13U league starting up along with more teams being added to the older four age groups. In 2014 & 2015, we continued to make our mark in the Pacific Northwest baseball community, growing to have 143 teams across six leagues in 2016.

Fast forward to now, we have upwards of 200 teams participating in our leagues annually.

League Structure

High School (15U, 16U, 18U)

Separate league for each age group (15U, 16U, 18U)
- All teams within the age group play in the same competitive division
- Sub-divisions based on region (North, Central, South) limits travel
League play consists of 15-20 games
Top 8-10 teams qualify for College World Series style postseason in late July

13U & 14U

Separate league for each age group (13U & 14U)
- Split into Gold (Majors) and Silver (AAA) competitive divisions
- Sub-divisions based on region (North, Central, South) limits travel
League play consists of 18-24 games
Top 8-10 teams qualify for College World Series style postseason in early/mid July

Youth (11U & 12U)

Little league friendly (select teams allowed)
League games will primarily be played on Sundays
Separate league for each age group
- Will split into Gold (Majors) & Silver (AAA) if enough teams participate at each age group
League play consists of 10-14 games, allowing for a manageable workload for players participating on local little league / pony teams
One-day single elimination playoff first Sunday in June

** NOTE - the 2024 PAC NW Regional Games are scheduled for Monday, 7/15 - Wednesday, 7/17. Teams are able to schedule games during this time, but could potentially be missing players for this event. We listed those dates in the rainout dates section for awareness for HS age teams.

2024 League Costs

League Fees

13U - 18U Divisions - $1,250 per team
Youth (11U & 12U) - $900 per team
Discounts for returning & long-time members of the league

Umpire Fees

Separate from the league fee, all teams split the umpire costs for the division equally (administered by Seattle Elite)
- 13U - 18U - generally ranges from $1,500 - $2,250 per division
- Youth (11U & 12U) - generally ranges from $950 - $1,250 per division
  - Umpire fees vary based on number of league games, umpire rates per division, etc.

Home Fields

Each team is responsible to reserve and pay for fields for their home games
This allows for teams to have a true "home field" and to set their own schedule within the league guidelines
This cost will vary from team to team based on location, quality and size of the field. Up to each organization to control their field budget

Baseballs

Each team is responsible for supplying Baden baseballs for their home games. Game balls for league play (and other purposes) can be purchased through Seattle Elite Baseball at a discounted rate.
